With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of
William Macarthy Jr
Nov 13, 1950 – May 8, 2026
William, known by many as Twiggs, was the fifth born child of William and Lucille Macarthy. He attended Oberlin Public schools. William was a career truck driver, having driven for fifty years. He honored God and loved his family. He also enjoyed jazz, was fascinated with eagles and hawks, and loved keeping abreast of the weather conditions around him. William was both an avid football and drag racing fan.
William was preceded in death by both parents, as well as sister Lucille Dais, and sister Jane Macarthy.
William also leaves behind his partner of 35 years, RobinLadiner Elder. William is survived by sisters Katherine Washington, Mary Donna McKinney, Elayne Macarthy, and Laura Macarthy. Also, brothers Franklin Macarthy, John Macarthy, and Douglas Macarthy. William also is survived by daughter Raquel Ayn Macarthy, granddaughter Courtney Victoria Peters, grandson Cody Alexander, and great grandson Owen John Pinti. William also leaves behind Bobbie Elder and Shauna Slaybaugh.
William will be cremated. His "Celebration of Life" will be held in the near future, TBA.
