Charles Edward Honaker, Jr. aka "Scrappy" by family and friends
October 30th, 1955 – Friday, May 1st, 2026
Scrappy led a very adventurous life and worked in many professions, ultimately enjoying a career as Resource Recovery Facility Director for the city government of Harrisonburg, Virginia; from which he retired; settling in a home on Lake Sinclair in Georgia, enjoying a million-dollar view.
Charlie is preceded in death by parents Charles Edward Honaker, Sr.; mother Betty Jane Riley; uncle Dewey Honaker, and late wife Janice Honaker.
Charlie is survived by wife, Daphne Byler-Honaker; sister Brenda Coon and brother-in-law John Coon, and their daughte Barbara Coon, of Ohio; son Chad Honaker of Florida; son Robert Montville (Alex Klein Montville), and grandson Dylan, of Virginia; and cousin Dewey Honaker (Denise Honaker), of West Virginia.
